Goodbye and Thank you, Adrien Lawrence

The Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) was launched in 2016 with the aim of facilitating the use and exchange of health data for research. In his role as inaugural Managing Director of SPHN, Adrien Lawrence competently and efficiently set up the Management Office, shaping the initiative’s governance structures and operational framework. He served as an effective interlocutor for the Network in ensuring agreement amongst the various players in the field, as exemplified by his role in negotiating the Collaboration Agreements between the five Swiss University Hospitals and SPHN. He also played a key role in defining the two national calls for proposals during the period 2017-2020. In addition to his core work, Adrien has represented SPHN and Switzerland abroad, sitting on the Executive Committee of the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) as well as official Swiss delegations. After four years at SPHN, he now returns to EPFL where he began his career. We warmly thank Adrien for his commitment and the work he has accomplished. Myriam Tapernoux, already in charge of the Department Science at the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences, has taken over the lead a. i. of the SPHN Management Office since 1st August.
