SPHN teams up with the Swiss Digital Pathology Initiative. By integrating digital pathology data in the network, the initiatives aim to advance precision medicine in Switzerland.
We are pleased to announce a strategic collaboration between the Swiss Digital Pathology Initiative (SDPI) and the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN). Together, the two initiatives aim to advance biomedical research for precision medicine in Switzerland.
SDPI is at the forefront of integrating digital pathology into research practice, enabling more accurate and efficient diagnoses through advanced research in imaging and artificial intelligence. SPHN is dedicated to enable nationwide use and exchange of health data for research following the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) principles. By joining forces, SDPI and SPHN will leverage their respective expertise to make health-relevant data accessible for research in Switzerland. The SDPI is planning to build on the SPHN Semantic Interoperability Framework and to use the SPHN Tool stack and the existing infrastructures in the hospitals.
The initiatives are committed to driving innovation in healthcare by advancing the use of digital pathology and personalized health data. The SPHN-SDPI collaboration aims to enhance the interoperability of digital pathology data with personalized health data, fostering groundbreaking research and ultimately leading to better patient care. This partnership will pave the way for new diagnostic tools, personalized treatment strategies and a more integrated approach to research projects in digital pathology in Switzerland.
